Crystal Light Challenge and Weight Watchers Update #10

For new readers (hello!), go check out the Crystal Light Challenge and join on in! It’s simply a challenge to meet your own exercise goal. I am shooting for 90 minutes a week.

Crystal Light Challenge Update

I joined the 5 week company softball league this week and played for 2 hours on Tuesday…that was proceeded by 2-3 days of not being able to move without wincing, but I got my 90 minutes dagnabbit!  And I made 2 really great plays as the catcher – go Green Team!  :-)

Weight Watchers Update

I joined Weight Watchers on January 4, 2011:

  • Weighed in at 176 pounds
  • Wore a Size 14/16
  • Assigned up to 252 points a week plus whatever activity points I can earn (and was told to stay above 203 no matter what).

The goal I made January 1st, 2011 was to weigh 163 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 12 since that was the halfway point to my end of year goal to weigh 150 and fit into a Size 10. I hit my 163 goal by February 7th, 2011 (YAY!!!), so I’m making new goals.

My current goal is to weigh 150 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 10 or 12. I will ultimately be shooting for 140 pounds by December 31st, 2011 and will shoot to maintain that from there.

Here is where I stand today:

  • I now weigh 157 (down 1 pound from last week and 19 pounds overall so far!!!).
  • I fit into a Size 12!!!  I was finally able to start wearing an old pair of work slacks that are a Size 12 this week!!!
  • I used 221 points of the 252 I was assigned (remember, I have to stay above a minimum of 203 to stay healthy).

    Yeah on losing another pound!!! Did you win the game? At least you won’t be as sore when you play next week.

    I did not hit the 6 day target last week. I was sick again (this cold just won’t go away) for a few days last week and decided to rest a bit. I did get out and run a little yesterday. Need to be ready for the race on Saturday.

  • @MikeS, we lost one game and came from behind to tie in the second one. :-) I play again tomorrow (every Tuesday). I can walk again and will stretch way more this week.

    Sorry you can’t kick that cold! Good luck on your race on Saturday!

    Congratulations on your great weight loss!

    I went to my second WW meeting last Monday (first weigh-in after starting program) and lost 6 pounds! As my WW leader noted, “Results not typical!”, but I am very happy with that start. (Of course, it could just be the notorious ‘water weight’!) Anyway, as we all know too well, losing weight is not an easy thing to do, but I’m pretty impressed with this program.
