Crystal Light Challenge and Weight Watchers Update #15

For new readers (hello!), please go check out the Crystal Light Challenge and join on in! It’s simply a challenge to meet your own exercise goal. I am shooting for 90 minutes a week.

Every week I’m posting my own exercise update for the challenge. Hopefully you will comment below with your weekly results as well. :-)

Crystal Light Challenge Update

I started walking again at work, but I didn’t quite hit that 90 minute goal.  To be honest, I think I only hit about 35 minutes.  But I am going out of town this coming week with friends and we are planning a lot of activities, so I will jump back on the exercise horse.  :-)

How did you do on your goal?

Weight Watchers Update

I joined Weight Watchers on January 4, 2011:

  • Weighed in at 176 pounds
  • Wore a Size 14/16
  • Assigned up to 252 points a week plus whatever activity points I can earn (and was told to stay above 203 no matter what).

The goal I made January 1st, 2011 was to weigh 163 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 12 since that was the halfway point to my end of year goal to weigh 150 and fit into a Size 10. I hit my 163 goal by February 7th, 2011 (YAY!!!), so I’m making new goals.

My current goal is to weigh 150 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 10 or 12. I will ultimately be shooting for 140 pounds by December 31st, 2011 and will shoot to maintain that from there.

Here is where I stand today:

  • I now weigh 153 (down 1 pound from last week and 23 pounds overall!!!)
  • I am still a solid size 11, lol.
  • I used 232 points of the 252 I was assigned (remember, I have to stay above a minimum of 203 to stay healthy).

    Yeah again on losing another pound!!! I see the finish line in sight for the 150 goal. I imagine walking is going to start getting harder with the weather heating up for you. Any plans to change when you walk?

    I did not hit my goal last week. Only exercised 3 days of my 6 day target. I did get some really good sleep this weekend. I’m feeling more rested now than I have felt in the last 3 weeks. I’m so hitting my goal this week!!

  • @MikeS, I figure I will simply have to start walking in the evenings at dusk. Even on the hottest days, the mornings and evenings will be at least 80 degrees or below, which is doable even with our OMG humidity. This coming weekend I will be having too much fun to complain too much about the heat, lol. :-)

    Mid-week update: Had a great run this morning. My fastest time since the race and the first time I’ve run 5-miles in about 2 and a half weeks.
