Crystal Light Challenge and Weight Watchers Update #21

For new readers (hello!), please go check out the Crystal Light Challenge and join on in! It’s simply a challenge to meet your own exercise goal. I am shooting for 90 minutes a week.

Every week I’m posting my own exercise update for the challenge. Hopefully you will comment below with your weekly results as well. :-)

If you’d like to be added to the challenger list, please leave your name, exercise goal, and website URL (if you have one) below and I’ll happily add you to the list! You can also email me your info to ccthoughts *at* gmail *dot* com or use the Contact form at the top.

Crystal Light Challenge Update

It was too hot to even drive a car with A/C this week…that is the excuse I am sticking with for not exercising at all…sorry…

How did you do on your goal?

Weight Watchers Update

I joined Weight Watchers on January 4, 2011:

  • Weighed in at 176 pounds
  • Wore a Size 14/16
  • Assigned up to 252 points a week plus whatever activity points I can earn (and was told to stay above 203 no matter what).

The goal I made January 1st, 2011 was to weigh 163 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 12 since that was the halfway point to my end of year goal to weigh 150 and fit into a Size 10. I hit my 163 goal by February 7th, 2011 (YAY!!!), so I’m making new goals.

My current goal is to weigh 150 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 10 or 12. I will ultimately be shooting for 140 pounds by December 31st, 2011 and will shoot to maintain that from there.

Here is where I stand today:

  • I now weigh 149 (Down 2 pounds from last week and HIT MY JULY 4th GOAL!!!  I am now down 27 pounds overall!)
  • I am a SIZE 10!!!  Yay!!!
  • I used 210 points of the 252 I was assigned (I just need to stay above 203 to stay healthy).

Thanks for keeping me honest! I hope all of your goals are going as planned!

Yeah on reaching the July 4th goal!!!!!!!! Sights now set on the year-end goal.

I’m hoping to get back into my routine now that the move is over.

  • @Miss T, no apologogies necessary. Thank you!

@MikeS, THANKS!!! Yay for no more moving!!! Good luck getting back into regular gear. :-)

  • Good for you!
I dropped 14 pounds after retiring but then have stalled out for a year. At least I didn’t gain it back!

My exercise routine ramped up and stayed up (but I guess my eating did as well). I workout to a different DVD each morning for at least an hour, and I walk 2-3 miles most days as well.

Working out at home, in the morning gets me up and going, is cheap (I buy the routines at garage sales) and morning workouts are supposed to be more likely done because you don’t have other stuff getting in the way yet.

  • You’re doing so well Crystal..very inspiring….I can’t seem to stick to my diet this year. I lost 30lbs last year and wanted to hit my goal of 150lbs this year, but it’s not least I’ve not put any weight back on!

  • @Marie, hey, congrats on not gaining it back! One little worry I have is that I’ll start eating more when I start working from home…

    @krantcents, thanks!

@Laura, not gaining is a win in my book!!!
