Crystal Light Challenge and Weight Watchers Update #7

For new readers (hello!), go check out the Crystal Light Challenge and join on in! It’s simply a challenge to meet your own exercise goal. I am shooting for 90 minutes a week.

Every week I’m posting my own exercise update for the challenge. Hopefully you will comment below with your weekly results as well. :-)

Blogging once again trumped exercising.  Yes, I know, I suck. 

How did you do on your goal?

Weight Watchers Update

I joined Weight Watchers on January 4, 2011:

  • Weighed in at 176 pounds
  • Wore a Size 14/16
  • Assigned up to 252 points a week plus whatever activity points I can earn (and was told to stay above 203 no matter what).

The goal I made January 1st, 2011 was to weigh 163 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 12 since that was the halfway point to my end of year goal to weigh 150 and fit into a Size 10. I hit my 163 goal by February 7th, 2011 (YAY!!!), so I’m making new goals.

My current goal is to weigh 150 or less by July 4th, 2011 and fit into a Size 10 or 12. I will ultimately be shooting for 140 pounds by December 31st, 2011 and to maintain that from there.

Here is where I stand today:

  • I now weigh 161 (down 15 pounds overall but stayed the same from last week).
  • My clothes are looser and I measured 3 inches less in my waist last week but I still am still not quite to a size 12…
  • I used 230 points of the 252 I was assigned.

According to Weight Watchers, I may have stayed the same this week since I have successfully burned off all the glycogen and am now working on fat.  Fat doesn’t hold water so it’s harder to burn off.  They also suggested I try exercising…

    Life happens, you can’t expect to lose fantastic numbers every week. Look at the bright side, you didn’t gain anything either. :-)

    No change to my routine. Exercised the 6 days, 4.5 miles running (3x) and Biggest Loser Game (3x). I’m a little sore from my workout on Sat. Guess I hadn’t been working out those muscles before. Next week I’ll up my distance to 4.75 miles to get ready for the race on March 19th.

  • @MikeS, I technically gained .4 pounds (I went from 160.8 to 161.2), but you’re right. I’m trying not to dwell…

    Good luck on your 4.75 mile goal for this week! You are going to kick butt in the race!!!
