Weekly Kindness Update #10

For anybody just tuning in, I post a kindness update every Friday as my part of The Kindness Commitment Challenge. I personally think that making a concious effort to be nice will benefit ourselves and others alike. Please add your random act of kindness in the comment section every week – it’s great for inspiration and makes for happy Friday reading as well!

This Week’s Update

I think this was an okay week.  I donated a few dollars to fast food charities and some more to a charity for cancer.  It probably isn’t awe-inspiring but I don’t think it’s too bad for what amounted to a 3 day work week and a ton of family time.  :-)

How did you do this week? Build any good karma? Have any ideas for us in the future?

  • I was at the grocery story at about 7:50am on Wed. I had a bag of cranberries and a 1/2 gallon of eggnog. When I got to the register a nice lady insisted I go ahead of her in line. I bought those 2 things and a $25 gift card and then I handed it to her. She said I didn’t need to do that and tried giving it back and I didn’t let her. I said, you did a nice thing for me and I want to do something nice back. I also wished her a happy thanksgiving. She had a big smile on her face when I left. What a nice way to start the day.

  • @First Gen, that is awesome! What a wonderful way to start out the holidays!
